The typography gets a nicer, less jagged look if you right click your desktop, choose Properities/Effects and tick the "Smooth edges of screen fonts" option.

If you want have more than one work file in memory at once (practical for cutting and pasting), you may run another or more instances of the program.

If you activate the video control bar in one of these instances you'll get an error message if you have a video card that is already in use.
