First time installation

The setup program will normally suggest the destination directory C:\<Program Files folder>\Titlevision. The user may change this to any other path. If the folder wanted does not exist it will be created. If you don't have a time code reader, ignore error message about this and tell the program to stop looking for one.

Reinstallation/update

The setup program will automatically find and suggest the folder already in use. Early versions of TV2000 that have not been installed with the TitleVisionSetup.exe program, will, however, not be found. In this case the user may install the update in the old folder (usually C:\tv99) or do a complete uninstallation before installing the program in a new folder.

It is not recommended to reinstall/update the program to a new folder without uninstalling the old version first (including TV2000Edit or TV2003Edit, which should also be either uninstalled or overwritten if present).

TitleVisionSetup.exe installation procedure:

1) Accept License agreement

2) Select Destination Directory

3) Select components (Full installation/update)

4) Select start menu folder

5) Select additional Tasks (desktop icon/quicklaunch icon)

6) Software installation

If the Default file containing your hotkey definitions already exists, you should not overwrite it!

7) Online registration

Fill in name, company (optional) and serial number

The program is ready for use!

The first time the program is run, you might experience a couple of messages like these:

If you don't have a time code reader, ignore them. If you do have one (and want to use it the old-fashioned way), check the hardware installation section.
