How to combine two subtitle files and sort them by time code

Use Append file and the Sort by in cue feature.

Older versions:

Use a text editor with sorting capabilities, eg Ultraedit. A free trial is available at http://www.ultraedit.com/index.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=10

1) Save the files you want to sort as Spruce STL files.

2) Open them both in Ultraedit

3) Copy file 1 to clipboard with ctrl+a and cltr+c

4) Insert the copied file at end of file 2 using ctrl+v

5) Remove all lines not showing time code in the new file (still bearing the name of file 2)

6) Sort using File/sort

7) Save the sorted file under a new name with the extension .stl (eg. File3.stl)

8) Now open the saved file in TV2003!
